Let us know!

Get Involved

Our "Street" surgeries provide residents with an opportunity to meet your Councillors, report issues and find out more about what’s going on in the community.

Surgeries usually take place on the first Tuesday and the last Sunday of each month.

Keep an eye out for the dates on social media and our leaflets.

We also host residents meetings and deliver invites to the streets covered by the residents meeting.

Volunteering

We are fortunate as a community to have a number of fantastic volunteers who are incredibly passionate about Silksworth and are always willing to roll up their sleeves and help with various community projects.

But, we can never have enough support! So, if you would like to lend a hand and help out in any way, be it helping deliver events, supporting vulnerable residents or simply delivering updates for residents, we’d be more than happy to have you join us!
Simply email any of our councillors or pop along to a ward surgery to find out how to get involved.

Join the party

The Farringdon and Silksworth branch of the Labour Party dates back over 100 years and has an incredible track record of securing improvements for our community.

From working with the proprietors of Tunstall Farm to provide for local residents in the early 1900’s, to standing with miners during the strikes, securing Silksworth ski slope and sports complex to securing our stunning cenotaph in Silksworth Recreational Park, it has been members of our branch, both past and present, who have overseen the community’s transformation.
So, if you share our values of ensuring every resident of Farringdon and Silksworth can fulfil their full potential, ensuring no resident is left behind and ensuring our community continues to be an amazing place to live, work and raise a family, join the party today!
